“Wake up, hero!”
Your eyes open, and you become aware of someone slapping your face. The evening sun is in the sky.
You sit, then groan, cradling your head. Beside you floats a pixie-like figure who was hitting you.
Now they grin. “Ah… Champ. You’re back!“
You look around. A path leads away from you, misty hills beyond. “I don’t remember a damn thing.”
“You banged your head. You’ve been lost in a dreamworld.”
“And…?”
“Come on, hero — your family needs you! Your child!”
The figure then fades into sparkling mist, and disappears.
You stand, memories starting to return…
