A twittle

Autumn’s ornaments in vivid hues Fluttering on nature’s breath Omens of decay, carrying cues Life is too precious to waste

The recent death of a friend, and an auto accident that totaled my car, got me pondering how unexpectedly and suddenly life may end. We should try to be present in each moment and live the lives we long to live. Autumn leaves are a gift; they can help us remember to focus on what really matters before it is gone.

Thanks to and Carolyn Hastings for starting the twittle party in Medium and William J Spirdione for encouraging me to join in.

I want to invite T Mann, pockett dessert, and all other interested writers to write a twittle too.

Thanks to Suntonu Bhadra and the editorial team at Paper Poetry for this publication and for offering 30 themes for the month of September. My twittle is a response to theme 2, Autumn.
