Author Biography for the Dancing Elephants Poetry Book Project

I feel like I’ve been writing my whole life. In school, as someone with ADHD, long before anyone knew what that was, I delighted in any test that depended on essay questions. I put the capital B in the time-tested WC Fields quote,
“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.”
My writing became personal in 2006, three years after my husband died and I began to journal. Journaling daily brought me through grief and shock into a world, personally crafted by me and for me. Twenty years later, life is wonderful.
In October 2022, my world got seriously colorful when I discovered that I love writing about life!
I found Vidya somewhere on Medium and got tagged into a challenge. Answering the challenge questions took me on winding journeys into the rabbit warrens of my past.
My love of expression through writing and poetry was reignited!
As a brief aside, I did publish a book, No Kale Required: Healthy Eating Ideas for the Rest of Us in January 2017. It was a compilation of several of my earlier, pre-Medium, blog posts. It’s available on Amazon.
