August’s Fourth Week Prompt of Lifeline
Greetings Poets,
I was unable to share Lifeline’s third-week prompt since I was preoccupied with some of my personal matters. However, I’m back now with all of my inspiration and ideas. Enjoy this week’s prompt, folks.
“Anxiety was born in the very same moment as mankind. And since we will never be able to master it, we will have to learn to live with it— just as we have learned to live with storms.” —Paulo Coelho
These days, life is really busy. Everyone has a very tight schedule, whether they are professionals or students. It can be quite difficult to handle at times, and we begin to worry about certain things. Anxiety can be simply defined as acute worry or fear about specific situations. When under pressure, like when speaking in front of thousands of people, it is common. It’s acceptable to experience anxiety occasionally, but if it interferes with your everyday life, you must get professional assistance.
An unhealthy and stressful lifestyle, including lack of sleep, exercise, an unbalanced diet, alcohol and caffeine use, and a lack of social support, is the main cause of anxiety. Occasionally, people’s inability to manage work-life balance causes worry.
Additionally, there are occasions when everything is going smoothly but you are still concerned. This is due to the fact that in order to accomplish your goal, you must expend more physical, mental, and emotional energy, which in turn causes anxiety. Growth and accomplishments can be difficult because they constantly involve taking on greater responsibility. However, a certain amount of tension and anxiety is OK as long as it’s assisting you in reaching your objectives. On the other hand, you should stop and try to make some beneficial lifestyle changes when it starts to negatively impact your physical and mental health.
“Anxiety happens when you think you have to figure out everything all at once. Breathe. You’re strong. You got this. Take it day by day.” —Karen Salmansohn
Recognize that you are not the only one who feels nervous. Everyone has anxiety at some point in their lives. Keep in mind that it shouldn’t interfere with your life. Always seek support if it is having an impact on your life. Change your lifestyle by exercising and practicing yoga. I found a lot of relief from my anxiety through yoga and meditation. Eat a balanced diet and get enough sleep. Give yourself some extra time and care.
“Do not let your difficulties fill you with anxiety; after all it is only in the darkest nights that stars shine more brightly.”
– Ali Ibn Abi Talib
This week’s poem is,
Write a poem on how your anxiety makes you feel, sound, and look. Let the poem’s words make your worries go, and then you’ll be free to enjoy this lovely existence.
I want to invite all the poets of Lifeline. I hope you will like this prompt.
