ATTN: Medium Staff
I’m not a happy camper right at this moment and I’m going to tell you why
I’m bored Medium and I’m blaming it on you. Yeah. You read that right. For nearly a year and a half, I have for the most part rolled with the punches also known as changes on the platform. I ain’t rolling this time and I’ll tell you why.
I can’t find anything to read.
All I see is what I already know. My reading list that I created and save to. I don’t need it suggested to me. I know it’s there. Then there is the endless scroll of people that I already follow. I get the notifications when they post so again, redundant information.
Wanna know what I’m not getting?
New suggested reading.
I’m not going on an archeological dig to locate something to read. Instead, I’m on YouTube watching videos, Tubi watching documentaries, online with my local library reading ebooks, etc.
So that means there are writers on here that aren’t getting views or read times which means they aren’t making any money.
And I’m no one special so I can’t be the only one this is happening to. People have lives, jobs, spouses, kids, hobbies — basically a life. No one is going to go panning for gold on here. They will leave and find other things to do.
So before you receive a lot of backlash about money dipping in an economy where people need every dime, I suggest you come up with a Plan B because Plan A sucks the big one.
