What the lame-stream media won’t tell you

Several members of my family, including myself, have asked my kooky, QAnon-believing mother not to send any more politically-themed email attachments or links. She generally abides by the agreement. Every so often, however, Mom discovers information so compelling and so important, that it simply must be shared. We may feel a little irritated with her, but she can’t live with herself if she doesn’t try to open our dead and ignorant sheep’s eyes.

Such was the case with a video she sent earlier this year, which highlighted the dangers of the COVID-19 vaccine. You may have thought the vaccine was old news for the reality-challenged — I sure did. Apparently, this is not the case. Mom’s video was sent to everyone in the family along with the following urgent message.

“I know you think I’m a conspiracy theorist and I don’t know what I’m talking about, but please, please, please watch this video…you will not be hearing about all the deaths or serious medical injuries from the vaccine (I call it a bioweapon) from the Lame Stream Media…

Please…Please…Please DO NOT get any more injections:”

I didn’t watch the video at first, but after hearing how ridiculous it was from my sister Gretchen, I had to see for myself.

Clicking on the video link took me to the site where it was posted, and I was horrified to see some of the headlines my mother had apparently been following. Here are some actual video titles that I copied and pasted from the site.

The video itself, “Jabbing America,” was more asinine than I ever could have imagined. It was disheartening to realize that my mother was so affected by it. The man who posted the video added the following comment, cut and pasted just as printed.

“The following is a media compilation of jab related injuries, sudden deaths and mystery illnesses, including celebrities and many well known athletes and public figures. This is by no means an exhaustive list.”

The video was almost forty-five minutes long and contained a montage of article headlines for seemingly every celebrity death or illness since 2021. When I say every celebrity death or illness, this is no exaggeration. I didn’t watch the entire video, but mental health issues, alopecia, and drug overdoses (Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins) were all shown, along with heart attacks, strokes, and age-related deaths.

The audio was mostly dramatic piano music accompanied by the poignant humming of a female vocalist. Every now and then an audio clip of someone talking about vaccine complications — not necessarily the COVID-19 vaccine — was cut in over the music.

The dates and causes of death were highlighted in the screenshots, along with anything else the video’s creator wished to draw the viewer’s attention to. These extras were usually phrases like “died unexpectedly,” “inexplicably collapsed,” or “seemed fine the night before.”

Only a few of the screenshots even mentioned the COVID-19 vaccine, but when it was mentioned, the quotes were taken out of context and were not from the article about the celebrity’s death or illness.

For example, the very first image shown was an article about the death of Adam Rich, the child star from Eight is Enough. The actor’s name and the date, January 8, 2023, were highlighted along with the phrase “cause of death has yet to be released.” To the right of the article was a separate screenshot from Rich’s Twitter account dated 7/24/21, where Rich had posted a tweet urging people to get vaccinated.

I realize that very little effort is needed when preaching to the choir, especially when one posts on the choir’s own website, but as far as propaganda goes, the video was pretty pathetic.

I thought about linking the anti-vaccine video, but frankly, I don’t want to give the video’s creator any extra views. I’d rather give myself some potential views instead.
