Attack Your Own Cravings to Lose Weight — 4-Step Method
Control Your Cravings for a Happy Weight Loss

Do you find yourself snacking on unhealthy foods late at night?
Do you often crave sugary or fatty foods?
If so, you’re not alone. I’ve been there.
Food cravings can be difficult to resist, but they can also be a sign that your body is trying to tell you something.
In this blog post, I will discuss four simple steps that will help you attack your food cravings and lose weight!
1) Pay Attention to the triggers
When do you crave unhealthy food the most?
Is it while you binge-watch Netflix?
Or after a long day at work?
Or do you crave because of not having a good night's sleep?
For me, it’s usually late at night or when I’m stressed.
By paying attention to the times when you’re most likely to crave unhealthy foods, you can be better prepared to fight them off.
2) Hack the Habit
You have identified the triggers. At this point, you need to find a way to bid farewell to the trigger.
for instance, you had a long day at work and now your desire and anxiety tell you to order something unhealthy.
Take a break, sit down and relax for some time. Ask yourself, what is the actual reward you are craving?
Is it relaxation?
Once you identify, tell your brain you need a hot bath, not a pizza. And without any wait, give yourself the real reward you are after
3) Balance your brain to control craving
The brain is responsible for cravings. When you see, hear, or even think about a certain food, your brain starts to crave it.
You need to achieve a balanced hormonal state to minimize these cravings' impact.
This can be done by ensuring you’re getting enough protein, healthy fats, and fiber.
You can also try supplements like magnesium or omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to help reduce food cravings.
BONUS: Let me tell you a natural compound that will help you to balance your brain and control cravings.
Take one tablespoon of cocoa powder, mix it in water and add stevia.
The cocoa powder reduces the level of stress in your body, your muscles feel relaxed, and you don’t crave anything unhealthy.
4) Check how well your metabolism is working
Cravings serve as a tool for understanding your metabolism.
They are an indication that something is out of balance.
For example, if you’re always craving sweets, it could be a sign that you have insulin resistance.
This means your body can’t properly process sugar, so it’s constantly looking for more.
If you suspect your metabolism is out of balance, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian. They can help you figure out what’s going on and how to fix it.
