POETRY
At First Light
A poem about the power of hope

Persevering to overcome status quo for months the waters have been unusually rough fighting against the strong pull of the undertow on many days feeling defeated, having had enough
Voyage uncharted and destination unknown filled with uncertainty and familiar dread my weary heart as heavy as a stone anxious thoughts crowding my doubt-filled head
And yet I rally, steadfast in my resolve my determination to move ahead well-wrought mustering fledgling courage it does involve triumphed the unflagging sorrows have not though by reason life doesn’t always abide on the horizon is where my hope resides
Thanks Carolyn Hastings for tagging me several weeks ago to respond to a poetry prompt about hope.
