As We Suffer, We Become

Poetry Challenge, Day 4: Journey of undoing, being and becoming

As we undo,

We redo,

As we destroy,

We construct,

As we deconstruct,

We build ourselves up.

As we suffer,

We become,

We become one with ourselves,

We become our true selves.

Every time we fall,

Each new source of pain we encounter,

We learn something new about ourselves,

A new way we’re able to survive,

In the midst of the pure sufferance life sometimes seems to be made of.

We have to suffer,

To learn that we can suffer,

That sometimes we must suffer,

To reconnect with ourselves,

To build,

To become.
