As Trump Contests the Election, He’s Abdicating the Presidency
Our systems do work — they’re playing a player

Anybody could act like a winner. It’s when you lose a person’s character is tested and comes to fruition.
We figured out that Trump is a con man. He also knows what he’s doing. Gaming the system to his political and economic advantage. Crying foul and fraud while playing the victim.
He’s also playing the MAGA movement as well as right-wing and conservative media. Newsmax has admitted their support of Trump’s conspiracy theories and election fraud. Not that they believe the president. It’s all for ratings and financial returns. Go figure.
By attacking Fox News, despite the network’s support from Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Geraldo Rivera, Trump continues to bide time. To create strife and division. It’s all a ploy and reduction strategy, ala Donald Trump.
The narcissist is known to cut-off and box-in their targets. To separate them from outside influence. Ploys for power and control. The MAGA Reduction strengthens through subtraction. It’s the zealots who will follow, support, and worship Trump. To feed his ego, and do his post-presidency bidding. These are his future tribe members. Paying customers who will subscribe to his various media channels and future fundraisers.
Trump is also fleecing the Republican elites. Pocketing the donations from a bogus election drive. Bilking donors as well. Instead of a Save Donald J. Trump From Prison, the slogan morphs into Stop the Steal. In Trumpworld, it doesn’t matter how you get the money, it’s that you get it.
Since Trump won’t accept defeat and concede, DJT plays the game. And we watch, going along for the ride. The antics and rhetoric of a desperate president and his legal team. Dragging us from one rabbit warren to the next.
Trump knows how to play the media. To craft his appearance and persona on the TV stage. He acts cool, confident, and determined. The pitch and tone of his seasoned and coached voice. Despite facts and reality, Trump remains defiant — convicted to farce and fallacy.
It’s all about moving towards his next phase and gigs. The more he could hold hostage while keeping court, the better. It’s all about attention and being center stage.
Behind the scenes, in the writers' rooms and wings of the theater, we’re hearing other stuff. A mass exodus of staffers. Skeleton crews reporting for work.
There are other reports that Trump knows it’s over. For real. His slim and no chance has become impossible. Yet, he presses on. His feigned defiance a dog whistle for the saps. The followers he’ll need to dupe and shakedown in his future endeavors.
Meanwhile, over in Wilmington, President-elect Joe Biden has taken the reins. This is reassuring to the reeling and roiled nation.
As Biden assumes the mantle, the country moves on and looks ahead. Taking advantage of Trump’s folly and brooding, Biden has seized the initiative. In Trump’s absence, Biden’s presidency is arriving in real-time.
As the pandemic rages on and food lines swell, where is our commander-in-chief? As an AWOL Trump melts down, Biden continues to address the nation. He’s also fielding questions from the press. Not only is he respecting, but revering our freedom of the press.
Biden is also pushing for a stimulus package. It’s obvious his transition is marching ahead. What seems compromised has been turned into a strength. This alone should give our citizenry reassurance. It’s obvious that Biden is ‘working the phones’, playing the part.
Without saying so, Biden has to restore faith in our systems. To reassure American voters their ballots will be counted in good faith. To put partnership and non-partisanship over partisanship. To negotiate and compromise through collaboration.
A bigger ticket item will be the restoration of our political process. That the machinations of Capitol Hill work. Despite its history of dysfunction, the Biden Administration has to lift this apparatus from the muck.
In the short term, we’ll get through these tough times. To begin the healing process. To exit the recovery road for the prosperous one.
In the long-term, the example of a working congress will eliminate channels and vacuums. The opportunities for people like Trump to become president in the first place.
Unfortunately, there remains a dark underbelly. As Trump filanders and hosts maskless holiday parties, the country aches. There’s a bright side to these diversions. It keeps this maniac out of the war rooms. Away from the nuclear buttons and missile centers. To meddle with and antagonize the Middle East. The more he tweets, golfs, and celebrates at this point, the better.
Speaking of Washington and the White House….
Trump is running out the clock. His best available strategy remains to bide time. The proverbial clock is a respite from the Green Mile and the impending execution. It provides the window for frivolous lawsuits and conspiracy theories. The charade of appeals. All legal and time-consuming. It isn’t about substance. Nothing is or ever was with DJT.
Trump’s presidency is finished and he knows it. His only lifeboat — the courts. His only life jacket — time. Both have been granted by us and the system. It’s all he has left. To game the system and work the clock.
The end is near. January 20, 2021, is inevitable. The last meal is being prepped. The doomsday bomb targeting the Trump presidency is falling.
Our systems aren’t perfect, but they work. Some need to be rebuilt. Others might need some tweaking, grease, and oil.
