As the Pendulum Swings
Creating the balance of change

Changing our thinking and our viewpoints is not easy, especially when we venture into the realm of changing what time has engraved into our minds. Change isn’t as straightforward as Point A to Point B. It is the full spectrum of a pendulum swing. It is about uncovering the hidden blocks that hinder us from moving toward what we want. For example, imagine you are holding a dowsing pendulum-which is a crystal or rock at the end of a chain or string. The traditional use was to find hidden water or objects buried underground, similar to a divining rod.
The pendulum sets a spark in the unconscious mind by using the nerve endings of the fingertips without conscious thought to move the pendulum. The knowledge we unknowingly have is what creates the energy of the movement.
When we first decide to move away from what we don’t want and pursue what we think we want, it starts the swing. It’s the energy of the current moment and our unconscious knowing.
Now, suppose we add knowledge generated by studying the Law of Polarity and the Law of Relativity. In that case, it could be a guide to find the balance of the swing from consciousness thought to unconscious knowing.
As Joseph Lieungh’s prompt asks, “At the level of humankind, we see right and wrong as guide markers, at what point or level do we no longer see right and wrong?
Let’s start with the Law of Polarity — the universal law regarding duality and opposites, using the guide markers, right and wrong. You can’t have one without the other. Each comes with the same facts-a personal judgment but differs only in the degree of intensity.
Now, we throw the Law of Relativity into the mix. It adds a layer to the energetic theme. We will use the guide markers right and wrong again from our prompt. While they both have the same facts, yet a different intensity, now you add perspective. Time is relative as the guideposts stand steady, yet each individual’s frame of reference shows the swing’s power differently.
With all this in mind, you can bring the energy you desire to your intentions for change. Every thought and intention has two components. Content and energy. The content of your thoughts and the energy they produce.
As Albert Einstein, creator of the law of relativity, stated, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
So, at what point or level do we no longer see right and wrong? When the pendulum stops because we changed our thoughts’ energy and content. It becomes our new frame of reference.
