As Night Follows Day
Star crossed lovers
A once upon a time ago When all the world was cold and grey A drop of starlight fell like snow And from it grew a girl named Day
Her radiance was unsurpassed And filled the Earth with golden light And from the shadows that were cast There crept a boy whose name was Night
They loved each other from afar But neither one could come too near For every time the Day approached The Night began to disappear
And so it was that Night and Day We’re forced to always be apart Their souls a half a world away But always in each other’s heart.
