As a Man, I'm Ready for Some Female Leaders

Throughout history, our leaders have traditionally been males. Some of the most famous leaders or Infamous is what I like to refer them to have always been male. The purpose of this article is to discuss why I feel male leadership has failed us in many instances and why we should look towards having more women in leadership roles.
First, I want you to have a look at the following list. These are some of the most infamous leaders in world history. Let me know what the main characteristic of all these individuals is.
- Julius Caesar
- Nero
- Genghis Khan
- Charlemagne
- Vlad the Impaler
- Attila the Hun
- Napoleon
- Mao Zedong
- Hitler
- Benito Mussolini
- Pol Pot
- Stalin
- Lenin
Do you know anything about these leaders? The main characteristic they share is that they are all male. These men are responsible for some of the most grisly acts in human history. This is a very short list. I could write on and on and on about these men. They are responsible for murder, bloodshed, decapitations, impaling, torture, rape, massacres, and the list of atrocities goes on. It’s pointless for me to write individually about these men. You can look them all up for yourself. Some of them you may not recognize, but I’m sure some of them that you do recognize, such as Hitler or Stalin.
“I don’t go by the rule book. I lead from the heart, not the head.” — Princess Diana
My main point is that our history has been filled with violent and vicious men. These are the leaders that the people of this world have had to live with. These men are responsible for a lot of death and destruction. Why is that? Why has a large percentage of our male leaders engage in such acts of sheer violence? While there have been some women in history that were violent such as some of the queens of England and France, the list is a lot shorter when it comes to female leadership. Men are naturally more aggressive, and it’s this aggression that ends in such bloodshed. This is the main reason I would like to see more female leadership. I believe that with female leadership, we will see far fewer instances of war and mass destruction. Here is why.
Better at Communication
Women are naturally better at communication. They don’t tend to lash out when they engaged in conversations. Try to debate a subject with men, and you will soon find out that they only really have one viewpoint. A lot of men don’t want to listen to the other side. This is one of the major reasons why wars break out. Men don’t want to talk, and instead, they want to engage in acts of aggression.
We often hear the phrase “rising tensions” when it comes to politics. This is when there’s been a breakdown in communication. Men are far more likely to default to their aggressive nature and not work out the problem through communication. While not all men do this, a large percentage of them do. Therefore more likely communication out the window and resort to the common denominator, which is violence. They perceive other men as a threat.
“One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes…and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility.” — Eleanor Roosevelt
Women, on the other hand, are far better at communicating with each other, and as leaders, they would be better at communicating with other leaders. They would be far less likely to start a war. They are less inclined to send soldiers off to die for no reason. Almost every war we have ever engaged in has not been for a good reason. We kill because we can. We want to take something from somebody else or from another country and make it our own. Men do not want to communicate, they simply want to destroy and take something away from someone else. A large part of the equation is fear as men fear other men.
Less Hate
Due to the aggressive nature of men, they are also more hateful. They will hold grudges longer than women do. They’re far more likely to be racist or engage in acts of racism. If we take the KKK and look at women, we have the Women of the Ku Klux Klan, which was prominent in the 1920s. It had around 500,000 female members. At the KKKs peak, there were around 3,000,000- 6,000,000 members, with the vast majority being men. In the past, women and men were both involved in hate, but today it’s more likely to be angry young men than women involved in hate groups. This isn’t to say that women aren’t involved today as they are, but it’s mainly men
Today there are over 1000 hate groups just in the USA, and most of these are male-dominated. The larger KKK oriented groups have largely fractured, and now it’s smaller groups that exist. Since 1982, 113 of the largest mass shootings in the United States were carried out by men. There have been only three since then by women. A lot of the hate groups idolize Adolph Hitler. The election of Donald Trump has seen hate groups rise by a large margin. These groups are most often run by men and have other angry men as members. This is another reason why I want to see more female leadership.

More Emotional
Women are more emotional than men are. This means they are more sympathetic to the plight of individuals. Men, on the other hand, are more concerned about their immediate family or close friends. They don’t have as many feelings for people they don’t know. Women tend to care about everyone. They’re more concerned about groups of people than individuals. Men tend to care more about themselves and the inner circle.
Women express their emotions in a more positive way than men do. Men’s default emotion tends to be anger. They are less likely to want to work on an issue in a constructive way. While not all men are like this, a lot of men have difficulty dealing with their emotions. This is because of the upbringing of men. They are told and not to be a mama’s boy, baby, and so on. Whenever they feel bad about themselves, they are not quick to express those emotions. They will turn to drug abuse, alcohol, and other ways to deal with emotions instead of talking to people. This is why women would make better leaders. They are more likely to want to talk to people rather than lash out at them as men might. There is far more likelihood of conflict when men are involved
Conclusion
As a man myself, I have given men ample opportunity to show that they can be good leaders. What we’ve had some great leaders in our history, we’ve also had quite a few that have been absolutely terrible. I am tired of killing and the warfare that men are a large part of. Wars don’t seem to be started by women, they are started by men.
I want to sit back and see what women are capable of. Why not let them lead for a change? Why not give them a chance to prove themselves. Men have had long enough to prove themselves, and they have failed quite a lot of the time.
What do you think the outcome of female leadership is going to be? I don’t think that it would be a negative thing. I think that it could be quite positive if we all have an open mind. Women deserve that chance to lead. Men need to get off their high horses and allow women a chance to show what they’re capable of. Perhaps we will see fewer men and women come home and body bags if we allow women a chance to lead.
I’m willing to try. I say let them lead, and let’s see where it takes us.
