Artique: A Home for Artists of All Kinds
A publication that wants your creations
Do you dabble in music, painting, photography, or crocheting? Maybe you do all of that plus sculpting. Wow! Have you also had a hard time finding a place to share and house your artistic expression? Well, I have the publication for you!
I was fortunate enough to befriend Joanne Olivieri on Medium a handful of months ago and during that time she opened Artique up to those who had more of their work to share and had difficulty knowing where to post it. Being someone who loves art in all its forms and not having had success in other publications I immediately took to this concept and vision. I joined Artique as a contributor and then as an editor and was thrilled with the creative culture Joanne had started.
However, she has had to leave Medium and with that, I ended up holding the reigns for Artique. The ethos behind it for me is fostering a community of artists both emerging and established, uplifting other types of art forms on the site, cultivating a supportive space, and just having some dang fun with all the wonderful ways we demonstrate our creativity.
I am fully committed to building this publication up as best I can, and would love to see it grow and evolve to be an accepting and welcoming place for any and all kinds of art, even at the risk of repeating myself apparently. Art can be a very personal and intimate thing, but please don’t be shy if you have a passion for it. We want to see it and will make sure it’s not a publication of snobbery or judgment. So, you’re cordially invited to be a part of the Artique community.
