Arnold Schwarzenegger At 75 Years Old Will Inspire You To Stay Young In Mind, Body, And Spirit
You’ve got to get up off the couch, engage your mind and move your body: “…life is about living, not existing.”

In a recent interview, the reporter asked Arnold Schwarzenegger, “How does it feel to be 75?” His reply:
I wouldn’t know what it feels like. I feel very good, and I feel full of energy. The most important thing is to keep active. And to keep the mind active. To me, life is about living, not existing.
From helping a Millennial struggling with a lat-pulldown machine at the gym to changing how the people of Austria are handling the climate crisis — Arnold Schwarzenegger is keeping active.
Body
Training:
Arnold trains six days a week at Gold’s Gym in Venice, CA, or at his home gym. He goes to Gold’s several times a week as he likes helping people and giving pointers, especially if he sees someone struggling.
Diet:
His diet typically leans toward vegan:
Now I eat more oatmeal, greens, and healthy foods. I stay away more from the meats and more from animal products, and animal proteins, because there was this misconception that that's the only way you get big and strong, so now I back off that and I feel much better.
Mind
Arnold is filming Fubar, a series for Netflix, playing a CIA agent. He said it was quite a bit of work:
It was a lot, a lotta work. I never worked that hard in my life. 10–12 pages a day, but I loved it. I’ve never had more fun than doing this.
I can’t imagine memorizing ten pages a day of dialogue. My brain would hurt. Would you have difficulty with that, too?
He’s working out his brain as hard as he continues to work his body. What an inspiration.
He constantly strives to help eradicate pollution — speaking publicly and passionately. He is well-schooled and knowledgeable in this subject. Climate change and pollution are complex subjects, yet Arnold is not deterred and keeps abreast of all developments.
This is another way he keeps his brain sharp.
Heart
It wasn’t a secret that Arnold had an affair with the nanny of his and Maria Schriver’s children.
He wasn’t concerned with what the world thought. He wanted to be sure everyone in his family was okay. He and Maria had to work together raising their four children even though they separated and later divorced.
When asked about his relationship with Maria today:
She is my best friend. We talk pretty much every day. I respect her and think she’s a wonderful lady.
This speaks volumes about the character and integrity of Maria and Arnold.
His friendships also extend to his childhood friends, some he’s been in touch with since age 6. He got tired of being unable to reach them, so he bought all of them cell phones. Now they talk weekly and laugh about old times and current affairs — such as their aches and pains.
Now that’s heart.
World Citizen
Arnold Schwarzenegger has founded an organization to halt climate change.
For the past eight years, he has been holding the Austrian World Summit with the goal of reducing the impact of greenhouse gases.
Arnold is passionate about climate change. Yet he believes that:
As long as we keep saying ‘climate change’, we’re not going to go anywhere because no one gives a s*&t about that!
He believes we should rephrase it and discuss pollution because it creates climate change.
He says we need to work on reducing pollution; he says:
Pollution kills. I’m into having a healthy body and a healthy earth.
Schwarzenegger’s father was a soldier under the Nazi regime, and Arnold speaks out in a series of online videos denouncing both the Nazis and hate in general. And asks the question:
How do we stop this from ever happening again?
I recall hearing him speak out against Putin when the invasion of Ukraine began, imploring him to end the violence.
Nothing will deter him from voicing his concerns.
As governor of California, Schwarzenegger was a positive force for our state, implementing cleaner air policies.
He is an example to all of us to speak up, be bigger, better humans. To take care of ourselves in all ways. To help our friends, family, and neighbors worldwide.
I didn’t always agree with his politics or personal behavior back then. Today, with his mature integrity and character, I’d follow him to the moon and back.
For all of us — let’s not stop achieving, giving, or loving because you may have reached a certain age, life has been unfair, or for whatever reason, you are sitting on your couch watching the world pass by.
Get up and live every day to the fullest. It could be your last chance.
