Are Your Medium Lists Missing too?

Why can’t others see my public lists anymore?

This isn’t your typical story, but I’m crowdsourcing for answers since Medium support has not responded to me about this strange occurrence.

Like many Medium members, I save stories to various “lists”, so which are private (denoted by the lock icon 🔒).

The picture below is what I see when I’m on my own profile. Under the words ‘View Stats’, it shows 3 things: Stories, Lists, and About. This is what you should also see if you visit my profile page.

Yet, I have a couple of friends who tell me they only see ‘stories’ and ‘about’ when they go to my profile page. It’s as if I don’t have any lists that are public, when in fact, I do. While my ‘reading list’ is private, you can see in the picture above that my ‘read later’ list is public.

And apparently, it’s not just me. I have a friend in the exact same situation. They have lists that are also public (and have no lock icon showing), yet when I visit the profile, all I see are ‘stories’ and ‘about’, and ‘lists’ is missing.

So, I am curious to see if anyone else is experiencing this or has seen it before, and if so, how was it resolved?

I will say that it seems to be somewhat random because there are writers that I follow, and I checked a few of their profiles and they do show ‘stories, lists, and about’ as you would expect.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!
