Are You Trapped In A Self-Deceptive Belief System?

Brutal honesty is the quickest and most direct path to absolute truth.

As most know, it doesn’t take much to convince somebody of something they already want to believe. With that same concept, it also doesn’t take a lot to steer someone away from believing something they don’t want to believe, either.

Whatever you seek to believe, you will find…

You will believe whatever “evidence” that’s presented to you as if they were facts right out of the box and with no kind of proof to accompany it.

The mind is the most powerful part of human existence that, if used to its fullest potential, can achieve a tremendous amount more than what we sometimes “believed” wasn’t possible.

So, if it can make you extremely successful, it also has the power to leave you in devastating ruins as well.

When searching for any truth about any matter, don’t start with a preconceived preferential conveyor belt conclusion simply because you have already chosen a desired personal outcome.

… And when I say “don’t start with,” I very strongly mean don’t even consider making up your mind to any degree whatsoever, with any bit of certainty towards a conclusion, until you have totally emptied your mind of any biases in either direction.

That is nothing more than self-deception driven towards a direction that either appeals to or repels you from whatever “feels” right at the time. Which, to be quite honest, is at the bottom of the barrel in pathetic ways of making decisions.

Remember this…

The truth isn’t always appealing, and a lie can appear to be something you’ve always desired.

Also, be aware that there can be collective groups of claiming professionals with good intentions, mind you, that will present “their” personal evidence to you because that’s what THEY wanted to believe and have dedicated their entire careers to. Then they present it to you wrapped in a neat little bow-tied package to open up as facts, but in reality, they are personal convictions to believe “this thing” because they didn’t want to believe “that thing.”

Unfortunately, this happens on both sides of every fence in every spectrum imaginable. Personal, professional, political, worldview belief systems, relationships, religions… you name it, there isn’t a shortage of polarization in every corner you look in.

So, where do you toss your eggs and in what basket when everybody and their brother are fighting for your mental allegiance?

First, you can probably eliminate most baskets by noticing those who solicit your allegiance on the surface but have their other hand on your bank account. Not always the case, but a very good place to start.

Contemplate every possible and similar scenario against the backdrop of rational intellect, reason, and good old common-sense comparisons within the same arena.

Tear apart everything, do a side-by-side analysis of all presented findings, stay within the confines of reality, don’t compromise away from brutal honesty, and most importantly, the relentless quest to uncover the absolute truth has no room for personal desires and preferences, or comfort.

Your feelings shouldn’t even be allowed to enter the decision-making process, much less the only piece of the puzzle. So If you’re one to have fallen for the… “Whatever you feel at the time is who you are” concept… then you would do well to abandon that reasoning as soon as possible and never look back.

Feelings are comparable to building a skyscraper in a swamp without a foundation…
