Are You Tending To The Garden To Create A Beautiful Mind?

Tending to the mind is a daily job — like brushing teeth and bathing.

Your mind is a garden that you must protect Be conscious, for every weed you must detect For if you don’t take care of your mind Then you’ll do much damage to human kind

Hurt people hurt People, don’t they say? It’s a waste of time, energy and a beautiful day Try not to complain If you’re not in Ukraine You got clothes on your back And food in your sack You’re too darn lucky to be alive I hope my words help someone revive

No, I’m not a fan of toxic positivity I’m forever a seeker of solidarity The war in Ukraine is the war within At each human is where peace will begin

I pen these words dancing in and out of the kitchen While my darling oven takes care of the chicken Onions make me cry. Now my face needs a wipe My mind churns out ideas faster than I can type

Yet, that’s not the point I’m trying to make You need to listen for your own mind’s sake If you listen to the people in your head talk You’ll soon ask those buggers to go take a walk

No matter where you go, you can’t run from yourself Cleaning that garden has been put on the shelf Quick! Get that hoe from your meditation tool box An ant on the move does more than a dozing ox (-Lao Tsu)

Life is too precious and you’re here to create Don’t let the weeds in your mind decide your fate For a man is the product of the thoughts he thinks Rescue your own mind before it sinks To loneliness, depression at the bottom of the ocean You owe it to yourself, stay present to your emotion. It is there where you’ll find ideas and a solution Together we can start a new revolution

Meditation is to the mind what flossing is to the teeth Now shall we put that sword back in the sheath? Understand what’s beneath your anger and sadness Together we bring peace and end this madness

It’s high time you start taking inventory If you don’t go, you don’t have a story For one day you’ll be a world-renowned poet That day might arrive sooner than you know it
