Are You Asking The Right Questions?
Great questions can change your life
Challenges are all around us. Especially now, as we continue to confront COVID-19 and its impacts. But this is always true in life. We all have challenges where we need better answers.
What is the best way to find those answers? You need to be asking the right questions.
Questions are the best way to learn. When we speak, we are telling others what we already know. When we ask questions, we begin a process of learning. When we learn, we are on our way to solving our biggest challenges.
Lesson to Learn
Asking questions is the quickest way of finding the answers to our challenges. The very act of formulating questions helps us better understand what we are trying to solve.
Asking the question allows others to hear the challenges we are facing and enables them to help us solve our dilemma.
The most powerful tool for leaders at all levels involves questions. Use questions to formulate your problem statement while including others in your challenges.
Listen to the answers so you can find the best path forward.
Answer for Me
I love to solve problems. However, the best way for me to do so is for me to formulate and ask questions. It’s a discipline I continue to work on.
I get so much more done when I focus on the challenges in front of me and formulate questions.
I then use these questions to solicit the help I need. It is also useful when I help others. If I ask those I am helping how I can assist them, they usually can tell me. This allows me to be better at serving others.
Questions offer so many unique ways for me to progress and to help others move forward.
Action
What are your most significant challenges right now? What questions you are trying to answer? Write them down. Now, who can best help you answer them?
Finding the right questions will help you get to your solutions quicker.
Spend time with others to get the answers to your most pressing problems. The interaction over questions and challenges can be advantageous — to you and those you spend time with.
Daily Habits
Seek to formulate questions that will help you better understand your situation. Ask them of those you are interacting with today.
Use questions to help others. Something as simple as, “how can I help you?” allows you to make a difference for someone today.
Asking others for insights into your key questions can have the same effect. People will know the ways they could help you with your challenges and opportunities.
Seek daily to ask the right questions.
