Are You Also Tired of Hearing the Word Authentic?
Chasing authenticity is a sure-fire way of being less authentic
I am me; I’m always authentic.
So are you!
If you’re anything like me, you’re bombarded with how you have to be authentic, how this is more authentic than that, and endless advice on how to achieve authenticity.
Authenticity can’t be taught, and it can’t be learned. You’re already authentic.
When you try to follow all the guidelines, formulas, and advice, you lose yourself. While trying to conform, you fit into a box that ultimately constrains you.
I’m tired of hearing about authenticity. The overused word’s meaning is now jumbled up with conformity. Authenticity and conformity don’t mix up very well.
Compromise is okay. Evolving and growing is more than okay. Ultimately, though, don’t fall prey to the excess of advice. For regurgitated content that always tastes the same, there’s AI.
Be genuine and sincere, and you’re authentic. Your readers want more of you and less generic box-fitting stuff.
