Are You A Waiter?
Waiting for the perfect scenario to start?

Everyone knows that if we keep waiting for the perfect scenario, we may never write.
Some perfect scenario expectations -
- I will have the perfect writing table, quiet room, clean environment, sunny and airy room - to write, and a neat and pretty Instagram & Pinterest perfect space to flow.
- I shall have no fights with loved ones, I'll be in perfect harmony with nature, and I shall also be like a saint with semi-closed eyes and a buddha like demeanor before I sit to write.
- I would have freed myself from all the modern-day distractions and be in complete control of my ADHD-like mind.
- I would sit in my zen garden and pen lovely articles and start working on my novel.
- My children would go to school and I will finally have time for my writing and passions to follow.
- The day I start my novel, I will be completely healed of my traumas, hurt, and wounds. I will be ready to take on the world, with the new me, the healed me.
- Once all my relationships are sorted, I shall be ready.
- You could go on adding to the list.
I personally know a lot of writers including me, who romanticize the process of writing and end up just hyperventilating with anxiety about never having a perfect place needed to write.

☝️, Unlike this neat Victorian-styled writing desk, the real deal may be, you sitting at the kitchen table and hammering away at your story because it works for you.
👇 Or Sitting on your bed in a mess, with the sheets unfolded and teeth not brushed. You just write because you have to because it has to flow out.

Yes, attention spans are dwindling; becoming like that of a baby.
And these seem like the new norms. The new acceptable.
In those new normals, one is going to shift, sway, and jump from different apps, and various devices. The list is endless, from laptop to mobile, to TV to books, to Kindle, to game stations, and so on.
These trends, devices, gadgets, and lifelines are here to stay.
It seems like we will have to co-exist with them, from here on. Without becoming a slave to the endless game of technology and gadgets.
Here are a few stories that stayed with me, long after I had read them.
