Are These the Best Oklahoma Biscuits and Gravy?

Nothing says home like mama’s cooking.

My mother cooked best when she was challenged with few ingredients. She loved to throw in a pinch of this and a spoonful of that.

No dish was ever exactly the same — even if she’d made it a hundred times.

And one of the best dishes I remember she made fairly often was gravy and biscuits. They were fabulous and tasty every single time.

Gravy and biscuits is a staple in the south.

Both start with flour and oil and a hot skillet. Although my mama’s delicious recipes were her own, there are still hundreds of down-home restaurants and cafes in Oklahoma where you can find great biscuits and gravy.

In Oklahoma City, we recommend ordering some at Good Gravy on N. Western Avenue. There are those who argue that Sunnyside Diner has the best, so you might have to try both!

In Tulsa, try the Dilly Diner on East 2nd St. They serve breakfast all day, every day!

And in Broken Bow, everyone raves about Smith Good Eats on S. Park Dr. What are your personal recommendations?
