April First
Poetry - A Poem About a Holiday

The clock strikes midnight. It’s the first of the month. A short thirty days before May.
At last, I can say It’s April Fool’s Day!
A special holiday Where merriment Is but a stop away!
I must say, I’m glad it is this way.
A day, When all can be happy and gay.
So from my heart, I wish you A Happy April Fool’s Day.
So come join me, As I join the fray To celebrate this day!
But I must still warn: Not to let yourself Get too carried away
By the jokes and pranks You’ve planned for today, Or you might wish For the day to stay!
