Apple’s New iPhone 16 Design Reveals Vertical Camera and New Shot Bar
iPhone users, find your next upcoming iPhone 😁.
Apple will unveil its new iPhone 16 line this fall, but news of the new device has been leaked to the public even though it is still more than half a year away. As early as last year, in my articles related to it, some reports showed that the two standard models, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, would feature a redesigned rear dual-camera system, a vertical arrangement, and the addition of a new shooting button.
Recently leaked renderings once again confirm the possibility of this design change.

Ma Jin Bu, an external blogger, recently shared a so-called design summary of the iPhone 16.

However, I need to mention that although this person often broke the latest developments in Apple, the accuracy of its information remains to be verified.
From this outline, the standard iPhone 16 has at least two significant form factor changes.
The rear camera module
First, the rear camera module is arranged vertically and uses a protruding shape that appears to be a fusion of the iPhone X and iPhone 11. The flashlight remains located on the right.
A shooting button
The second notable change appears on the right side of the device’s bezel, with a shooting button below the power button.
There are still some conflicting rumors about the specific design of this button, with one saying it will be capacitive while the other pointing to it as a traditional mechanical button.
This new button will be helpful in shooting video (including spatial video).
Some users have made the latest iPhone 16 conceptualization and then had a look at it:

- The standard iPhone 16 uses a vertically arranged lens mainly to support space video shooting. With the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, it is clear that Apple is looking to its existing product line to be compatible with the new technology, which uses master cameras and ultra-wide-angle lenses to achieve spatial video shooting, making the vertical lens design an almost small change.

- While there appear to be few cosmetic changes, including keeping the Dynamic Island, the width of the screen border, and the same body material as the previous generation, the iPhone 16 standard version undergoes significant hardware upgrades.
In addition to the lens improvements, the device will be equipped with a more powerful A18 chip (while the 16 Pro version may have an A18 Pro chip), and the RAM may be able to upgrade from 6 GB to 8 GB.

Many consumers have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of a Pro Motion adaptive refresh rate screen in the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus, which may still exist in the iPhone 16 or 16 Plus, and that both will continue to use a 60Hz screen refresh rate.
What changes do you expect to see in this year’s iPhone 16? And what do you think about this design?
