Apollo 11
A journey to the moon

so many poems got killed that night and many others were born that night the magic in the stories replaced by the miracles of science that night
that one small step of yours certainly a giant leap for humankind a primeval dream coming true we can now fly to the moon
the worlds of imagination we had built clouds and palaces had been built gods and titans residing there keeping an eye on us from there
but it wasn’t to be like that you broke every heart just rocks and void everywhere even walking for you was hard
when you took off in that rocket of yours it was as if we had challenged the gods when we humans start chasing our dreams even the moon is not beyond our limits
On the prompt ‘rocket’ by Paroma Sen
