Apartment’s Songline.
My apartment has organised itself into ideation spaces.

My Songline Apartment.
Closing front door, Familiar surrounds, Sigh of relief tensions and anxieties stacked outside, Very untidy pile, Apartment is songline of experiences and encounters thoughts and desires mixed with life’s necessities, Linked creative spaces.
Been alone seems like eons, Morning eyes open, daily songline begins, Comforting habits structure my routines, Cooking and cleaning, Bathing and dressing, Mind free for contemplating day’s thinking tasks, Teaching and writing, Checking vegetables and contemplating recipes.
Mind is hub of my life’s wheel, Everything in apartment connects spokes in my wheel, But everything shares songline and contexts forming wheel’s rim, Everything linked through multiple memory associations, Forgetting one connection still allows accessing memories through fallback cross connections, Extending engineer experiences dealing with complex systems of linked interacting components.
Practice what I call “Songline Thinking”, Ideas are important but so too are paths between ideas representing themes and causality flows, Links help gain sense of system’s behaviour and understanding origins faults and their propagation.
Contemplated songline thinking for years, See mind as continuum of linked ideation spaces akin to my wheel with infinite number of spokes and overlapping rim segments, Endless possibilities exploring thoughts.
Forest and Garden

One ideation space is my LED garden with flourishing vanilla vine, Second harvest promises nearly 100 vanilla pods, Find my daily routine tending and watering garden clears mind and puts things into perspective.
My garden connects to ideation space of nearby little forest, Tall and proud turpentine trees, Living together connected through mycellium sharing nutrients water and chemical messages, Another Ideation space shared with Gaia.
While brain is physically confined in bony skull with limited external sensory perceptions, There are no limits except those self-imposed on linked creative spaces my songline, I can walk my forest any time, Sometimes in conscious thinking, Other times in sleepy dreams, My laptop is like a portal to virtual spaces like medium.com or conducting classes of sleeping students.

Emotions and Beauty.
Emotions are vital for patient researcher, Keep me going alive with hope when tasks appear daunting and thankless.
Emotions give energy to foster commitment and go that extra yard, Give indications when something seems amiss or smells of old boots, Researcher’s “uh-oh”.
In terms of ideation spaces, I picture emotions as adding color depth and social qualities that amplify or mute attractiveness of one idea over another.
Emotions like my response to beauty help me shape ideas and poems, My snapdragon haloed by light is statement of transcendent beauty, Needs no clumsy words to make a point, Instinctively understood.

Blessed be.
