Summarize

Anything to Last

A poem

Photo by Aron Visuals on Unsplash

Sandcastles in the sands of the glass; as each grain falls a bit of land is lost and plans slip through — each hour ceding so much more than seconds we tick by. We count as gains the time we’ve lived adding up the years, lighting them on fire. Would we celebrate and sing our songs if the counting were reversed. Would we pretend that we could build anything to last.
