Anyone Remember Record Players?

A Six Word Photo Story: Freestyle

Warm, friendly embrace from the past.

When I saw my daughter’s new roommate’s record player, it took me on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

It instantly transported me back to my teenage years when I used to enjoy listening to records in my best friend’s attic bedroom. She had an incredible collection of vinyl records.

Memories of browsing through dusty record stores and the sheer joy of playing those vinyl gems flooded my mind, reminding me of a time when music had a unique and enchanting charm.

It’s remarkable how something as simple as a record player can stir up such vivid memories.

Witnessing this vintage device, which was once considered a relic of the past, making a comeback was a delightful surprise.

Thank you to the editorial team at SWPSC: Mary Chang Story Writer, Sandi Parsons, and Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles for this wonderful space to house our stories.

A few of the fabulous photo wordsmiths: Gauri Sirur, JoAnn Ryan, Marcus, Indra Raj Pathak, Rhonda Carrier, Penny Grubb, Esther Olive, Hermione Wilds Writes, Joyce Nielsen, and Denise Darby.
