POETRY | THE BRAIN IS A NOODLE
Anxiety, Be Gone
Tools in my toolbox
You are that constant buzz that sets my heart a~flutterin’ riddle me this way and that I never know when yer comin’
Once you had me trembling pondering when you’d strike braced to the point of fumbling I couldn’t figure you out
My day would be going well only clear skies and sailin’ and then BAM! there you’d be leaving me kicking and flailin’
What kind of monster does this with no warning bells insight stripping me of all my bliss ’til I, in desperation, crumble
Now I have the tools to fight you you can no longer sneak around a dose of daily meditation and I am free of you, unbound
And should you think of sneaking through deep breathing does away with you
