POETRY
Antithesis
Saturday un-poetry
this is not a poem, she wrote pushed everything in, scraped buttons off the edge sprayed all of the past year from her vacuum took a short, soft look at it all in the mirror with a mirror
this is not a song, she sung the lowest notes made her high that elephant vibration tried to send a message it took a didgeridoo chirping savagely on the back porch for her to misunderstand
I’m actually quite full, she shoveled three more bites, a barista-cooked lasagne over the fence trying to attract the lost lovers back, just to toss them aside
this is not a game, she won the exact amount to pay all her debts laughing out loud to earn the windfall the world lined up to watch her hula hoop, blow diamonds, and walk away
