HAIKU POETRY
Anticipation
Will my delivery happen today, or will I have to wait till tomorrow?
Waiting on my delivery
Will it happen?
In anticipation
I think that it is so funny how we react to someone visiting or more so in these chaotic days, a delivery.
We have an idea as to when the delivery might be made, and many of us are home anyway, yet we hold our breath until our package arrives.
The anticipation kills us. Not literally of course, and life does go on until it arrives, yet we still wait.
Then the package arrives, we take it with glee, then sit it off to the side. What was all that hoopla about anyway?
Now, time to order something else, and start the process all over again.
If you liked this short haiku poem, you might enjoy this one too!
I haven’t attempted to write many of these types of poems, but I do enjoy the format.
It’s a challenge for me to write in the haiku method since I have to be as creative, and inspiring that I can be using so few words and syllables.
Yes, You Can Clap 50 Times. (if you want to)
Did you know that if you choose to clap or give my story some applause that you can hold down on the little hand icon and hold it there for a few seconds, you can clap up to fifty times?
I wasn’t aware of that till recently. I, like you, like to show the authors here on Medium how much I enjoy their work. Much like I would someone standing on the stage.
Try it out…that is if you enjoyed my story.
Thank you in advance. I am taking my bow!
