Anthony Scaramucci had a career in finance before he joined the White House as Director of Communications in 2017. After only ten days of work, Scaramucci was gone. He has become an outspoken critic of President Trump, who has tweeted about Scaramucci. Trump called him “a highly unstable nut job.” The feeling is mutual.
Back on August 14, 2019, Joseph Wulfsohn wrote on Fox News that Scaramucci predicted that President Trump would not be the nominee for the Republican Party in 2020. He was wrong. Trump is in the throes of the last days of campaigning for a second term. His Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, is also busy campaigning for the top job.
Scaramucci called Trump a “demagogue” and called out Trump for his “disgusting” bullying of Americans. He has been very vocal in his criticism of Trump.
When Scaramucci was speaking on CNN with Anderson Cooper this week, he mentioned that he can take the bullying and mistreatment that he receives from Trump. Scaramucci said he was sorry that others must suffer from the bullying by having to be fearful for their life. This was in response to a question about the recent name calling of Dr. Anthony Fauci by Trump. At his rally in Arizona that day, Trump had called Fauci and others working on the COVID-19 crisis, “idiots.”
Fauci had been on a televion show where he said that he and his family were getting death threats. It has become so serious that Fauci is now being protected by the Secret Service. Scaramucci and others are dismayed that a renowned medical doctor would need to endure such mistreatment because of Trump’s bullying.
When Trump talked about Governor Gretchen Whitmer at a rally in Michigan, his supporters started to chant, “Lock her up.” Trump retorted with, “Lock ’em all up.”
It is ironic that Trump is calling for his opponents to be put in prison when Trump is said to belong there, according to some of his Republican former allies. Some of them have served prison time because of their work for Trump. Scaramucci said that Trump should go to prison for his dishonest dealings. George Conway says the same thing. He is the husband of Kellyanne Conway, who worked closely with Trump for four years in the White House and on his campaign.
Scaramucci has a new prediction saying that Trump would “be in the ash heap of history” after the November election.
He further said, “We have to heal this country and unify this country, and at some point, we’re going to have to rebuild the Republican party. The party has been hijacked by Trumpism, and it’s sort of funny to watch it, none of these people believe what they’re saying, but they’re incredibly malleable and incredibly intimidated by the president. All political campaigns have an element of hate and vitriole. This election cycle is completely worse with such unprecedented bullying and disrespect by Trump. As Scaramucci says, Trump’s supporters follow him no matter what he does or says. He can be completely disrespectful, and they still like him.
Scaramucci and other Republicans are telling people that Trump definitely should not get a second term. There are quite a number of prominent Republicans saying to vote for Joe Biden.
