Selling on Etsy is an excellent way for beginners to start selling online. You can sell both physical products (such as mugs and wall art) and digital products (like ebooks or videos).
The product that I will be discussing today is InfoProducts! Infoproducts or information products are digital products that teach a skill or help guide people through a process. They can be in the form of ebooks, courses, videos, and more. The great thing about selling InfoProducts is that they have very low overhead costs and can make you some good passive income each Month!
They are also effortless to create, which makes them great for beginners. There are many different types of infoproducts you can sell on Etsy, and this article will cover which type will make you lots of moolah!
How this works is for you to go to Etsy.com, click in the search bar, and type in the words ‘how to’. You will notice an entire list of items will flood your search bar. The results showing are questions that people are asking on Etsy.
You will create a how-to guide to answer these questions that show in the Etsy search bar. This is one of the easiest ways to make money on Etsy because the customer is telling us what they want to know. They are looking to people like you and me to provide them with solutions.
The good thing about using Etsy’s search bar is that it shows you what people are actively searching for on Etsy. For example, let’s look at the above picture again, and take notice of the ‘ how to sell on Etsy’ keyword. This is a popular term that people are searching for. You may wonder if people will pay for this information, and the answer is yes!
In the search results, you will notice very popular shop shows under this keyword. This shop is making a killing selling products to answer this question. You should notice this product also has a bestseller tag. This means it’s a high-volume selling product! Take notice of the pictures used and bold graphics. You will need to make sure your visuals are eye-catching! Also, read what is included in the product.
The key to beating out the competition is by making your product better. You can improve them by adding more detailed instructions, including better graphics, more pages in your guide, etc. Just be creative and add value.
Providing information is valuable. People will pay for it, even if they can get it for free, by searching on Youtube or Google. People pay because of convenience. They like being able to go to one place to find the information they need.
Once your customer purchases your product, they will receive a download link. To simplify creating your product, you can buy a template from some of my favorite graphic sites, such as CreativeFabrica, CreativeMarket, and DoneForYouDivas. With a template, you don’t have to worry about formatting and the aesthetic of the product. You would fill in the blanks!
You can create all types of products. To get even more ideas, go back to Etsy’s search bar and type in ‘ How to’, and go down the list of alphabets. In the example below, you will see I typed in ‘How to a.’ You would then repeat the process by typing in ‘ How to b, Just Keep on going down the entire alphabet list. You may even change the ‘How to’ to another phrase to find more hidden gems!
