What a Psychic Vision Can Be Like
I am a psychic. A psychic channel, to be precise. I can’t read your mind. I can’t make things happen for you. I’m not going to tell you how to get past following the rules. I can’t tell you if you will ever find true love. I am certainly not going to tell you when you are going to die.
I’d like to say I can tell if you are a fraud or if you’ve got a bone to pick with the world. There would be a shiftiness about you, and I’d get the vibe. Likewise, I can usually see if you are sincere and honest, though how honest I can’t tell you.
The reason for that is everybody has a threshold where they make the move from honest, like a two or three-year-old, to an honest if-the-situation-warrants-it, like a 16-year-old or a 35-year-old man who is on the prowl…again.
I have two things going for me. I usually trust my own instincts the same as you do. Sometimes, we call them gut instincts. You base the decisions you make on what you have learned in life, on the advice you get from others, and on your gut.
I will drop into a psychic vision mode and tell you what I see. Usually, those are folk in Spirit who have stopped by to say hey.
I also have a Spirit Guide who hasn’t let me down yet. He and I have been associated, at least from where I sit, since 1993. That’s when his presence was made known to me in English. That’s my native tongue and the one I’m able to express myself best with.
I also have a smattering of some other languages that, at this point in my life, get all mixed up together. I was never so surprised to learn that my Spirit Guide, whose name is Seth, was able to speak any other language in the world. For some reason, I thought he was American. Silly me.
Speaking of what happens when you begin to get psychic, your vision of the world and how it is flat-out changes. It changes a lot. So much so that one of the things I recommend to any student who approaches me is to be aware that you just stepped onto an emotional rollercoaster, and you’d best know how to get yourself into therapy occasionally.
At the very least, to realize that Spirit Guides don’t fuck around. They will act as your therapist and want to talk about all sorts of things you would really rather not talk about.
By the way, all the therapists I’ve talked to have been okay with me hearing voices in my head, though there was one guy who said to me at the beginning of our second visit, “So, tell me. Are you still hearing voices?”
There is a difference between hearing voices and hearing voices. Hearing voices the way I do is polite. I made a rule early on, “Only one Spirit at a time talks.” Mainly, I talk to my guide, Seth. That was what I did exclusively for that first year.
After that, it was, “Katie bar the door,” and everybody came to talk. That’s when I instituted the rule that everybody can talk, just one at a time. If you want a vision of what that’s like, picture Whoopie Goldberg when the Spirits all started lining up and talking at once in the 1990 movie Ghost.
I’m not a psychologist, but my sister told me once if a person needs psychological help, the voices they hear are as if they were sitting in the middle of a circle of radios. Each radio is tuned to a different station, and they are all playing at once at top volume. It’s just a really fuck show of confusing noise.
As an example, I’ll check in with them now to see who is there. They’ve been quiet while I’ve been writing this morning, but I know somebody is there. Channeling ahead will be in a bold italicized font.
Good morning.
Hi Seth. Is anybody else around? I get a sense there is.
Now, how could you tell that?
It’s just a feeling. It feels like I’m in a valley, a sort of depression, a bowl of land. There are gentle hills, and there are people coming. They are not in a hurry. It’s like they’re coming to a picnic. I see a lady in a long dress with a bustle at the back. Somebody has her hand and is helping her to walk and settle in. I see some kids playing tag. There is a dog jumping around, all excited.
So, that is what a psychic vision for me is like. I see without seeing. I felt it first. I felt an awareness. Then, as I began to tell Seth and you, dear reader, what I was seeing, I “saw” through a psychic’s eyes. I just got a sense that the lady in an old-fashioned dress is a relative of mine. A lady I never knew but who is related to me. Ah, this stuff makes me emotional.
The same thing occasionally happens when I am meditating. Yeah, yeah, I know the goal of meditation is to just be okay with everything, but sometimes I see things. There is an old saying about how a student exclaimed to his meditation teacher that he’d seen the most wonderful things during a meditation. He expected his teacher to applaud his efforts.
The old guy just said, “You’re not there yet. Keep meditating.”
So, I’m at the point where stuff intrudes, but it is interesting as all get out. And I trust my visions enough to be a psychic vision if I am concentrating on somebody, except if it involves dieting and fitness. I’ve got a rather large issue with all of that, so whatever I see in regard to healthy eating is suspect — just saying it as I see it.
Part of my job, as I see it, is to spread the word that the world of being psychic isn’t only for a select group of people. Everybody is born with it, and you can either develop it or not. It’s your choice. It’s also not evil. It’s all good.
I even used it when asked about hiring people back in the day. I had a hunch there was one guy who wasn’t on the up and up. I Googled him and found all the pictures he’d posted of himself smoking his bong. Not somebody we wanted on our team. Also, not something we usually did with folks we were looking to hire. That fell to the managers to vet their own people. It was just that once.
I have to tell you I didn’t see psychic visions from the beginning. Once I’d gotten into trying to see them, they were all scary and gnarly. I asked my guide about it, and he said to remember that there is a lot of energy associated with bad things that happen. He said that negative energy was showing up for me because I was attracted to it like people can’t look away from a train wreck.
Also, like the time I did a past life regression, I wandered into a barn. I was young and had to avoid running into all the bodies that were hung from the rafters. Seth said everybody has good moments, and that’s what I should focus on. It took a while, but eventually, I got there.
If you want to pay me, that would be good. But I’m not about asking for money for what I do. I know there are a gazillion psychics out there who would disagree with me, but that’s just who I am. I’d like to say it was a gift from God.
I will eventually write books about it. That’s where I’d like to make some money. Also, here on Medium, but that’s pretty much the same as any other writer on the platform. It seems I never run out of material, so I’m okay with that. Also, if you want, I’d be happy to teach you, to show you the ropes. It’s a big commitment on your part. The people around you sometimes don’t understand right away. But it is fun. It is the most fun you will have had in years.
The other thing I want to mention is that when a writer closes their eyes, they see the same sorts of stuff I see. It’s really not all that uncommon.
