Another Football Player Is Shot And Killed At A Party
It is tragic when these young people die too soon
Shootings and killings happen too often
It was not even a year ago that a University of Utah football player was killed when leaving a house party after a football game. His friend who was also a University of Utah football player had died of what appeared to be an accidental shooting not long before that. Both of these young men were from Texas.
Now another university football player has been shot and killed. The young man was apparently trying to stop some fighting at a party.

Reginald T. Summage, star athlete and wide receiver for the Tuskegee Golden Tigers football team, was killed in a shooting Friday while allegedly trying to stop a fight…
The Tuskegee University Alumni-Southeastern Region Facebook page announced Summage’s death and discussed the shooting in a statement Saturday.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Reginald’s family and friends,” said Tuskegee University President Dr. Charlotte P. Morris in the statement. “Losing such a young and talented member of our Golden Tiger family to a senseless act of violence is always tough. We extend our deepest condolences and support to all who loved him at this incredibly difficult time.”
Officers responded to a report of a shooting. The victim was found injured in a parking lot. He died at the scene. Police said that the tragedy started with a fist fight. While the victim was trying to stop the fight, he was shot and killed.
The gun violence in the United States is alarming. Too many young people are being shot and killed. Innocent people are intervening into confrontations and ending up dying. It is a tragedy.
