Angelic Visits
A Story-Poem
Even God has forgotten that today is my birthday. I am ninety years old and live alone in a small cabin about three miles from town. Twice a week I walk there and have lunch at the Cozy Cafe before buying the few groceries I need. Most days I rise early and take a morning walk before sitting down for a breakfast of toast and coffee with the latest angel to visit. Angels come and go like the seasons bringing greetings from God. Some beg me to come home to heaven and others bully me into giving up my mundane life.
