Angel of the Moment
Everyday blessing, angels in our lives
Some time back, I waxed poetic about everyday angels, angels of the moment who lift our hearts or help ease our burdens. We may not know them. They may be not even be humans — our pets can be angels of the moment.
I composed this poem a long time ago, back when I was still writing on Blogger. It never got any attention and kind of got lost in the shuffle of moving platforms. In fact, I even missed publishing this one in my book of poetry back then.

Angel of the Moment
I’m crossing the peak… starting the downslope of life… From this lofty perspective, I can see the years and experiences… …trailing out behind me. In those misty reaches, I do see the black depths …of human corruption.
But… Oh… Sweet Lord in Heaven… I see so much more!
I KNOW …the world is peopled with angels.
I KNOW …most people are good and want only to be whole.
I KNOW …that everyone and anyone is capable… …capable of being an angel of the moment.
That’s my experience. And, it gives me hope for the future… …for my son… …for all our children.
To someone… …to anyone who crosses your path… …be an angel of the moment.
