~ Willowrose

I use an app called Insight Timer. People worldwide participate in the music, classes, and meditations this app has to offer. I have become friends with a few of them. I have enjoyed one in particular, “Willowrose,” as she calls herself, and once, after thanking her for meditating with me, she responded, “…and we begin again.”
The phrase struck a spark in me. It was simple and felt very freeing just saying it. Afterward, when I stepped out for my morning walk, I took a deep breath and said, “…and we begin again.”
As I walked, I was curious…why didn’t Willowrose say, “and I begin again.”?
Oh, she meant she and I begin again, “we”…got it!
I reflected on this;
The “we” could be another person and me.
The “we” could be me, as a human, and my soul.
The “we” could be Spirit and me.
The “we” could just be me and the world that begins again.
Nice, I have options.
After weighing all those options, I have decided that the “we” will be whomever I feel at the time is essential to join me.

So, I began to think about other questions I could use, “and we begin again.”
For example:
As you lie down to sleep, do you ever wish you could erase the day and have a do-over?
Have you ever said something to someone you regretted, wishing you could delete the whole conversation like it never happened?
While sitting still and looking up at the trees, do you ever feel the sensation of being cradled by Nature as the wind slowly moves through the branches?
Have you ever been with a group of people and didn’t feel like you fit in?
Have you been in a room full of surface-only conversations and just wanted to excuse yourself because that way of communicating doesn’t work for you anymore?
Have you ever wondered where all your close friends have gone?
Have you ever tried to understand why the once close relationships you had with your loved ones are now rarely experienced?
Have there been times when you felt a deep void and didn’t have a clue how to fill it or where it even was?
Have you ever been so quiet that you could hear your heartbeat?
When stopping at a red light, have you ever raised your eyes to the sky and felt a pull upward from your heart?
Have you ever put your feet on the floor upon waking, wondered what kind of day it would be, and were unsure if you were ready?

As I get older, these questions float around in my mind.
We have been taught to seek answers so we can feel better.
Sometimes I find answers; other times, I don’t.
Do we always need answers? I don’t think so. So we can sit in these questions and listen for the answers or feel the peace in the questions themselves.
With many of the questions above, I now use Willowrose’s quote and feel comfortably aligned without knowing answers or wanting any. What’s nice is when using this phrase,” we” is always with me and I am never alone.
“And we begin again” is the perfect phrase to bring freshness to any “do-over,” regret, frustration, or question as we start each day.
