And Still I Dance

Dance isn’t only in the body it’s in the mind and above all: in the soul.

Dance is among my top life’s hobbies but for sometime now I cannot use my body as I used to due to some muscular dysfunction. For few months ago I had to slow down and stop completely my Studio dancing.

You know the saying:

Do more of things that put your soul on fire?

Well, dance was one of those things. Not having dance in my life as it used to be is though and challenging. To “compensate” I managed to find some alternatives ways to still dance.

I dance while walking.

I dance at the top of the mountain while admiring the humbling view.

I dance by singing out loud the music I listen to, spelling wrongly the lyrics but making sure to follow and keep the beat.

I dance in my dreams and wake up energized from it.

I dance when I see my son picking up some of my moves, making them his own and dancing on the groove of the music we’re listening to.

Dance isn’t only in the body it’s also in the mind and above all: in the soul.

Once a dancer always a dancer 💃🏾

Don’t let circumstances have the last word because it’s not what happens — things will happen; it’s all about how you adjust. It’s all in the adjustments made towards things we have no reach over.

Until next time dear reader, take good care. Enjoy your body if you can use it freely: sit, walk, work out, play with your children.. all that without any pain. That’s a daily gift. As all valuable things in life, you take full conscience of it when it’s absent. Don’t wait until then, grasp that reality and enjoy it fully all in balance.

One love ✨💜
