One glance is enough

to see there is beauty

in the breaking down of

the old, the crumbling of

what was into something

new. Those fine petals, or

leaves on the wind, all

crumpled and forgotten,

may be yesterday’s blooms,

but they fuel fresh life

beneath the soil so it may

rise as recast spirits and

fly to the sun on ancient

wings.
