An Unforgettable Visit With The Family To Budapest.
Charming views of the Hungarian beauty.

It was the summer of 2015. My husband and I travelled to Budapest with our son and his better half.
Our three-day trip to the city was the most enjoyable and unforgettable. Budapest has a distinct charm, and its glorious setting astride the Danube River makes it a great place to visit.
The Budapest vacation helped us to build lifelong memories and break away from the usual hectic routine. It allowed us to enjoy a new culture, food and experiences.
The Szenchenyi chain bridge spans the river Danube between Buda on the western side and Pest on the eastern side. It is a permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary. A series of bridges connect Buda and Pest.

Budapest is the most beautiful city on the Danube. The city’s panorama is breathtaking, and you can enjoy the most when on a cruise ship.
The best part of the tour was taking a cruise down the Danube, passing landmarks like the National Parliament and Buda Castle. It was an incredible experience!

Especially in the evening hours when you get to see the illuminated parliament. You get to enjoy the complimentary welcome drink as you take in the sights of the city.

The Liberty bridge is the southernmost public road bridge in Budapest. It is the shortest bridge in the centre of Budapest.

Our Funicular ride to the Buda Castle was enjoyable. You get a captivating view of the city below.

Buda Castle is a remarkable castle. The National Gallery, National Library and the History Museum are located inside this castle. It sits on the top of the castle hill.

We enjoyed the old-fashioned pastry shops and many good cafes and restaurants — a must-see place for anyone visiting Budapest.
Every colourful dish was equally inviting, and it was difficult to resist the temptation to gobble them all up!

The Dohany Synagogue was very close to our Airbnb. It is the largest European synagogue and has a seating arrangement for nearly 3000 people.

You can see travellers clicking pictures of the interior. You get to see the brilliant Tohrah Ark made of coloured and golden geometric shapes.

The weeping willow tree is in the synagogue's backyard. It has metal leaves on which family names of Hungarian Jews murdered in the Holocaust are carved.

On the last day of our stay, we visited the St Gerard Sagredo statue. It is one of the historical landmarks in Budapest.
The views from this place on top of the hill are stunning — one of the most visited attractions in Budapest.

Heroes Square is one of the major squares in Budapest. It has the museum of fine arts on the left and the Palace of art on the right.
The central feature is the Millennium memorial. The two colonnades behind the monument each have seven statues representing significant figures of Hungarian history.

The most significant benefit of family travel is bonding with the dearest people in your life and exploring places together.
Every year we look forward to family travel, visiting a new place, exploring and creating memories.
