You’re nervous, because she is a demoness, after all! Maybe even Diabolus’s wife. And an enemy of your enemy is not always a friend.

But you hear footsteps thumping ominously up the stairs, like a predator stalking its prey. The demoness shoots you a charming smile. You grit your teeth. What the hell, you could use an ally!

She signals to the dresser, which is too far away for her chain to reach. You have got to be kidding me, you think. But you open the dresser and to your relief, you find a silver key hanging on a hook.
