An Opening
A Poem

Do close that door that wide gap like tearing down someone’s arm Treacherous sandcakes and all manner of false foods piling up here as the appetite hits the road Stripped down to my chest in February a wandering that hits me and what do I want to feel I cheer for robins still fucking around in the elms and cherry trees bickering over sticks like the rest of us Don’t sit down I’m hoping you won’t stay or think that you have to while I leave and destroy the original form of a few snowflakes Dizzied after seconds, only seconds away from the fortress of a front step everything is darkened by reeds left uncut the Dionysian that doesn’t burst
