An Open Prayer
An echo of what everyone is feeling.
Dear God, Are You Listening?
My eyes are glistening with tears to what is happening around us.
It has only been 3 months since the year began, and the whole world is in the state of a ban. The year started with a roar, little did we know, it would soon be the one we least adore.
What with the talks of WW III, to creatures unable to flee the wrath of fire, and Kobe succumbing to a helicopter pyre, to the current situation so dire.
My eyes are misty, the heart is heavy nothing about this feels right looking at people’s plight, unable to sit tight.
Please Dear God, make this go away, we sincerely pray that no one else falls prey to this virus, it is least desirous.
We promise we will learn and a new leaf we will turn, doing things right from now. Not everything, do we know the how, but we still take a vow.
Dear God, are you listening?
It is a sincere request, as we deal with this unknown pest. Who seems to have taken over with no manual or disclosure.
Dear God, please minimize the exposure and bring about closure. People are dying, these times are certainly trying, we have no one else to turn to, to help see us through.
Even though we are all captive we try and remain positive. Day by day we drag, hopefully with less nag trying to get past this tiny snag. Some days we hardly can bear, the virus could hardly care, it has its flair.
Dear God, please listen, and hasten to help us out using Your Might.
We understand this churn is for a reason, we seem to have done some major treason. The economy is down, leaving the whole town with a frown. Elders seem to be the pawn in this cruel game of chess leaving us to guess its next move and with a lot of stress. We are filled with despair as this does not seem fair. Meanwhile, the virus seems to be setting up its lair, not long before anyone it does not spare.
Dear God, are you listening?
We turn to You beseechingly, asking You to get us out of this as charmingly as You always have. We promise we will learn and a new leaf we will turn to.
Dear God, are you listening?
