ABORTION
An Open Letter to the Supreme Court (Roe-v-Wade)
Please don’t create armed chaos throughout the country by abdicating your responsibility (US Mail to each Justice 5/31/2022)

Dear Justices Roberts, Thomas, Breyer, Alito, Sotomayor, Kagan, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Barrett
I am writing because the Supreme Court has never addressed two major errors in the original Roe-v-Wade ruling. Instead of fixing those errors, the leaked draft indicates that the Court plans to abdicate its role and create chaos by sending the abortion problem back to the states.
The state of Texas has already passed a law that enables Extortion, Torture, Vigilantism, Instituting a “Guilty until Proven Innocent” doctrine, and redefining “Pregnancy”. Other states are reinstituting slavery. Some laws even cross state boundaries. I’ve published articles on Medium.com citing sections of their laws doing this.
Error 1. Weak reason for intervention. Privacy is based on the 14th amendment. Really?
First a definition. Slavery: coercive means to compel someone to work.
Children, especially pregnancy and babies, require an immense amount of work. Men can choose how much they will participate in. Many just leave. The woman’s choices are abortion, abandonment, and all of the work. If the woman has no choice, or near-impossible limitations, it is slavery per definition, though not the usual slave stereotype.
The 13th Amendment, Section 1 of the Constitution, is an extremely strong reason for the Court to intervene and support Roe-v-Wade.
Error 2. Vague middle term. A doctor identifies some type of medical problem.
Replace the terms with a fixed cutoff. The first part must be long enough to provide the woman ample time to make a decision and get the abortion. After that, the woman would be deemed as making a voluntary decision, thus being in compliance with the 13th amendment. Of course, an abortion would always be allowed to save the life of the mother.
I suggest 4 ½ months from the start of the last menstrual period. That allows for a skipped period, does not depend on time of conception, and still provides sufficient time to comply with the 13th amendment.
Finally, abortions have always existed. Medical technology has become good enough to make them safe. In addition, if you eliminate abortions, do you plan to grant all rights to a fetus before it is born? And who will act as its agent?
Also, consider this:
Women risk all for sex Men risk nothing
Mostly men, and others who receive no direct impact from an abortion, are advocating abortion limitations.
There is no ruling that will satisfy everybody, but the Supreme Court needs to decide and not create armed chaos throughout the country by abdicating their responsibility.
Thank you.
