An Open Letter To The Indian Education System
Fail at School doesn't mean to fail at life.

Dear Indian Education system,
I have a lot to say. However, there is no one to listen me. The motive of an Indian Education system is to award marks, not to test knowledge.
Indian students have better knowledge and aptitude than any other student from any developed country. On the other side, education system makes them a machine who memories everything just to get a good grades rather than understanding it.
In India, parents decide everything in advance for their children such as What will my child become when he grows up and in which college will he take admission?
They decide everything in advance. Though, they don’t give their child time to think for their own selves. According to me, parents should give their child a one year gap after they finish their higher secondary education to decide what they want to do with their life? I have also took one year of gap after finishing my higher secondary education.
The main problem of the Indian Education system is too much pressure. Sometimes, I felt that it’s not a system, it’s a pressure cooker.
Since early childhood, parents make their children compete to get into better schools. Some of them also send them to coaching institutes to prepare for interviews. That is too much, especially for a sweet innocent 3 year old.
The another big problem of Indian Education system is unnecessary hard work. Assignments, projects, homework, in short, too many things which all children might not find interesting; but are still forced to do! Nobody likes doing things they don’t like, and gradually the child starts losing interest in all of it.
Indian Education system is a rat race competition. Competition is good, however it should be healthy. Not everyone is able to handle competition. Because of this, Every hour one student commits suicide in India, with about 28 such suicides reported every day, according to data compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). The NCRB data shows that 10,159 students died by suicide in 2018, an increase from 9,905 in 2017, and 9,478 in 2016.

Indian Education system is responsible for all of the students who committed suicide. Every kid has it’s own strengths and weeknesses. So, why we all judge them just by seeing their grade card.
Indian government needs to focus more on education system. Education system is the base of country. If it’s poor, the whole nation can’t develop.
On the other side, hover schools don’t give a quality education to the students. Therefore, parents have to put their childrens into expensive private schools. Educational institutions are run with the main motive to make money. Educating the student is secondary.
Low quality education is crippling India’s growth to cope with the demands of the 21st century economy. This system force every students to studies 24 hours if they really want to get into the best colleages of India.
In India Students are not taught how to solve problems.Teachers want us to Memorize the whole topic.
So, it’s my humble request to all the parents out there, let your child decide what he/she wants to do with their life. Let them not pressurise to get a good grades. So, dear Indian education system you need a complete makeover.
The subjects, in which the child is not comfortable, should be deleted. I have seen children struggling in mathematics in junior level but they have to drag themselves till 10th class. Later in 11th and 12th they choose different streams like science, commerce etc but they are forced to study English. I have seen many sharp brains on dying on the gallows of English literature. I don’t see any need of literature for the child who wants to pursue career in medical/ engineering!
So, please change yourself as much as you can and give some relief to those little hearts. Make yourself exciting more than noting and pressurizing.
I hope you will change and you will change the future of next generation!
