An Open Letter To Medium Bonuses

I just want to say one thing, can't stay forever

When suddenly Medium distributed $500 to the top 1000 writers, it was like we were celebrating Christmas on this platform. Some writers were happy, and others were busy finding why they didn't get the $500. I was the one who also finds why I didn't get it.

The medium told that it was a one-time bonus for the writers who earned more views and engagement. The first bonus was given with April's earning.

Everyone thought that it was a one-time bonus and they will not get it from the next month. In May, Medium surprised all of us by giving another bonus with May month's earning.

In May, Medium declared that the first 1000 top writers will get $500, another 1100 to 1500 writers will get $100 and 1500 to 2000 writers will get $50. Medium disappointed me again because I was not from many of the top 2000 writers.

Now, every writer on Medium had one goal, to achieve the next bonus from Medium. So many writers wrote different posts about the survey of Medium bonuses.

No one exactly knows any trick about how to receive a Medium bonus. Medium bonus became a big Mistery. I tried hard but unfortunately, I didn't get the first two Medium bonuses. The third time I decided to get it anyhow.

I wrote consistently and publish it frequently. After so many hardships and waiting, Medium finally handed me a $50 bonus with June earnings. I was happy and sad too because I want the $500. However, I convinced myself anyhow and celebrated my first Medium Milestone.

Now, we all know that this is the last chance to get the bonus because Medium will be going to stop giving it from August. So, here is the small letter I want to write to Medium bonuses.

Dear Medium bonuses,

You are blessings to the writers who got you but you are a nightmare for the writers who didn't get you. Everyone wants you desperately and you are like I am not everyone's cup of tea. You don't know that people are giving their best to get you, but you don't care.

I know you are not going to stay forever. But, it was nice to receive you. I wish you will stay forever and inspire me to write every day. You are like a boost motivation that will help me keep my ass in front of my laptop.

Just because of you, I wrote a lot and got the top writer tag. Therefore, thank you for being there. You made me realize that I can earn more and become a top writer, too. You are a fountain of inspiration to me.

You anyhow make me believe that I can take Medium as my full-time job and earn real money. You just not helped me. You helped so many other writers to write more.

On the other side, some people don't like you because they didn't get you. Still, I want to tell the people who didn't get you to write, write and just write. Write quality articles and publish them frequently. You will surely get your Medium bonus.

To conclude, I just want to tell you please stay forever with me like a motivation booster. However, I know you will not going to stay forever. So, goodbye and thank you for staying with us.
