An Illuminating Experience
And now my life and my heart is full with illumination.
Over the last day or so I have thought a lot about what Illumination, this wonderful literary world to which we all belong, means to me and so many others.
Every day I excitedly rise from my slumber to get breakfast over with as soon as I can so that I can sit at my desk and enter this wondrous literary world. And I know I am not alone.
Fellow writer James Moynihan has called it " one of the best publications out there." He’s right. He refers to its personal touch. Right again James.
Writer and editor Britni Pepper likens it to “a walk in the woods, a swim in a clear lake, a long thoughtful look up to the stars. One can’t but help but be energised.”
How eloquently put Britni, and a true reflection of how I and so many others feel about Illumination.
Dr Michael Heng a very highly talented writer and editor, talks of “ the limitless liberation of human creativity, tolerance and understanding.” As he says, it is where our humanity wins.
And it has so much positive energy from such a wide variety of intelligent, creative and sensitive people. I feel privileged to be amongst you all.
It is a brilliant light in the firmament, one man's dream of diversity and inclusivity, Dr Mehmet Yildiz, and as such, one that we not only subscribe to, but also one that we are all highly privileged to share.
We are all readers and writers, two of the many wonderful things that bind us all together, and we all enjoy the illuminating experience of both activities. And that is because Illumination does what its title suggests, it illuminates so many aspects of our lives; professional, personal, domestic, artistic, philosophical, technological and so much more. It helps us to understand, to learn, to empathise, to tolerate, to collaborate, to create and delight at the creations of other like-minded individuals. It helps us, as all true lovers do, to be the best version of ourselves. And for that, we are eternally grateful.
Amidst all the noise of other media screaming to grab our attention with its fake news and scandal, its hidden agendas and its false narratives, Illumination shines out as a beacon of hope for our real humanity, as an authentic symbol of who and what we really are.
I see a great future for Illumination and all those who subscribe to it and who share its values, be they readers or writers or both. Be prepared for the ride of your life as we move onward and upward, to infinity and beyond, with illuminating Illumination.
