An Exquisite Cave Reminds Me of How Much We Humans Have Emerged
Money returns, but time doesn’t.

Most of you know me as a self-improvement writer. But I have many other sides too. I like to:
- Travel
- Workout daily
- Eat healthy foods
- Learn new languages
But if you ask me to pick (1), I’d tell you that:
“I have always wanted to experience my job on a vacation. And I did it!”
How it happened:
My husband lives far from me (for now). We agreed to meet in Turkey to replenish our love.
Our 2nd destination was Goreme town, in Cappadocia. We booked a Cave hotel (the most famous).
What’s a cave hotel:
In the 8th century, the Phrygians carved out living spaces (underground) from soft rocks.
The exquisite location is still preserved today in the form of hotels, restaurants, and hot air balloons.
We saw a mini library at the entrance when we reached the hotel.

After that, we went to the terrace to enjoy the moment. The terrace was upstairs; from there, we could watch hot air balloons.

The cave room was chilly, and the roof reminded me of European homes. On the left side is the entrance.

The terrace had a nice fireplace to keep you warm. Goreme Valley’s weather constantly fluctuates with cold nights and hot days.

Meaning:
Adana kebap: Adana Kabab
Firin Sutlac: Rice pudding

We enjoyed our post-meal with Turkish Elma cay (Apple tea). The cup design represents Lale (Flower: tulip)

We woke up early in the morning to view the hot air balloon. As we were leaving that day, we had to trade one experience for another.
So instead of sitting in a hot air balloon, we traded our experience for watching it.
Final thoughts:
I have always adored what it feels like to work on vacation. But that does beg the question, what do you consider as work?
For most rich people, work isn’t about making money.
Work is about using time wisely.
Because money returns, time doesn’t.
Thank you, Dr. Preeti Singh, Yana Bostongirl, and Sahil Patel, for giving me a space to express my thoughts.
