An Exercise Routine You Can Try
I’m not sure if it’s good, but it makes me feel great!

Exercise is not overrated. There are plenty of studies proving exercise is crucial to our overall well-being. It touches our physical and mental states.
As you age, it is crucial to find a good exercise routine.
Today, I’m here to share my relationship with exercise. Is it enough?
I’m not sure. But it works for me.
I’m hoping you can find a good exercise regime for yourself too.
Badminton
I play badminton three times a week. Each session is about 2.5 hours.
In the 2.5 hours, I can fit about 3 to 5 sets (2 games are in each set).
I burn anywhere from 200 to 600 calories, depending on the intensity of the games.
Brisk Walks
I feel bad to admit this, but I don’t do a lot of walking during winter. It’s so hard to get out when it’s freezing!
I prefer to walk when it is hot, rather than in the cold. At least for me.
Aside from winter, I take a walk after dinner every day.
Each walk lasts anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour. I aim to burn at least 100 calories for each walk.

Hiking
Hiking is another activity that I don’t do in the winter. When it gets warmer, I try to do a little bit of hiking every week.
It can get difficult with a busy schedule, but I try my best.
I’ll aim for at least one hour each week.
Yoga
Yoga is a must. It has to happen every day.
Depending on how my body feels, I aim for a 15 minute to 1 hour session.
If my legs feel tired, I’ll work on my upper body. If my arms are sore, I’ll work on my legs.
I never skip yoga, even if it’s just a short practice.
The benefits are enormous and truly help to keep me in shape.
Stretches
I do stretches throughout the day.
If I’m waiting for the pan to heat up while cooking, I’ll stretch.
If I have been working for 2 hours straight without moving, I’ll get up and stretch.
I’ll also do light stretches before bed.
Weights
I work with 5 pound and 10 pound weights.
My arm has been sore lately, so I have laid off the 10 pound weights for now.
But I’ll do some work with weights as often as I can throughout the week.
And that is my exercise routine! A lot of the activities complement each other.
For example, yoga has really enhanced my badminton games. I’m less prone to injury and feel stronger overall.
I would love to hear about your exercise routine too! Please share if you would like to!
